2026 is here, and what better way to start than with a stark reminder of the lows MAGA will sink to. Their insatiable desire to accept being lied to is now prominently on display, as Dear Leader has donned (kill me) the Bush-era role of world police chief. The so-called free thinkers and anti-woke vanguards have self-vaporized any attachment to the “America First” principle that they based their vote—and, by extension, the future of our country—on.
Trump’s acolytes have claimed for years that “all politicians are corrupt–what difference does it make?”, pairing that cynicism with QAnon conspiracies and anti-vax misinformation to forge an identity rooted in opposition to DEI-based culture-war bullshit. This selfish, uneducated minority of the American population has found a new cause to champion – the well-being of Venezuela and its people!
Trump, who aside from extorting foreign countries to fund his crypto and real-estate ventures, spent a good portion of his time in office demonizing immigrants–specifically “Venezuelan gang members’”—and using that rhetoric to justify policies targeting Hispanic communities, particularly women and children. His malignant messaging paired with an astronomical budget increase allowed ICE to escalate enforcement in immigrant neighborhoods. As 2025 came to an end, it seemed Dear Leader developed a soft spot for the South American nation, so much so that he took it upon himself to authorize a military strike in Venezuela that resulted in Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s capture and transfer to the U.S. to face criminal charges related to drug trafficking and narco-terrorism. Such a drastic change of heart for somebody who just recently pardoned a convicted drug trafficker, let alone campaigned on America First values.

No foreign interventions or nation building

Now, to anyone with half a brain, these claims–along with every other campaign “promise”—were nothing more than a disingenuous attempt to persuade Americans to vote for him and keep his ass out of jail. Just like the Epstein-files “save the children” crowd, Trump voters have suddenly found themselves abandoning the principles they claimed to have voted for and, by some act of God have discovered the spirit to advocate for the exact opposite outcome.
Every single MAGA cult member I have ever interacted with has justified their vote –or their general sentiment towards Trump – using one or more of the following “values”:
Economic issues / cost of living / use of tax dollars
Epstein files / pedophiles & human trafficking
Religious beliefs (this is fucking rich)
America First
Immigration
MAHA
Because it’s funny / “own the libs”
When pressed on any of the above, MAGAts will push back against facts and logic by rejecting sources or deflecting, as I have previously covered. Now that we are one year in, I can confidently argue that Dear Leader and his administration have abandoned every single value out in the open, with little effort to justify the related policies under the false pretenses he sold to MAGA during his campaign.
His tariffs disrupted trade, increased inflation, and hurt domestic industries such as agriculture and automotive manufacturing. The pedophile-in-chief is listed and pictured numerous times in the Epstein files released so far; Ghislaine Maxwell is sitting in a country-club prison, and zero arrests have been made by Bondi’s DOJ in relation to the obvious sex-trafficking scandal.
We bombed Iran, struck numerous deals with Saudi Arabia and the UAE, gave Argentina $9 billion of taxpayer money, and continue to finance Israel’s genocide. Immigration? Trump enlisted a bunch of Proud Boy dipshits to play army man and send nonviolent immigrants to concentration camps, while also setting up a reported $1 million citizenship-payment program, in addition to increasing H1-B visas.
MAHA? Say hello to measles outbreaks, you fucking idiots. Vaccine recommendations pulled back to bring us more in line with Denmark’s recommended schedule? CDC eviscerated, along with cancer and infectious-disease research funds. You can’t sit there and tell me that won’t come back to haunt us, even after Trump.
Oh yeah, the people who cheered on DOGE, how are you feeling now? The initiative did nothing to curb government spending or "expedite critical processes” that the Ketamine Doughboy had promised. What he got instead were immeasurable troves of data to power his CSAM machine and the closure of investigations into his shitty companies. Thousands of sick and impoverished people will die as a result of USAID shutting down –blood on his hands.
So what’s left? Trump’s ego? The A.I bubble propping up the stock market? A YouTuber ending Tim Walz’s campaign? Are these the highs MAGA is chasing in 2026?
I will and have acknowledged the MAGA infighting we have seen, for the most part, online. The far-right Fuentes / Carlson types clashing with the Israel-friendly Loomer / Shapiro crowd, reflective of the true spirit of America First – antisemitism and racism. Outside of that, the vast majority of brosphere trad-wife dipshits are simply riding the wave of what they perceive as “winning” at the expense of others, or by virtue of not suffering themselves – selfishness. The MAGA hat-wearing, Trump-card-collecting, TRX-driving suburban sales bros continue to flaunt their lack of shame or principle as the most ironic participation trophy: “look at me! I am on the winning team because I am too stupid to develop a worldview or think beyond my front door!” God forgives all, so I can do whatever, say whatever, no matter how horrible or shortsighted, and lay my thick fucking head on my MyPillow at night.
The misplaced loyalty to a literal child rapist served them well in 2025, at the expense of their own plastic values– so what’s the point of pretending to stand for anything this year? As I have been saying for some time now, these people cannot back up anything they pretend to care about. 2026 will be the year of “It doesn’t affect me, I couldn’t care less,” in relation to sex trafficking, corruption, and racism. Where MAGA once felt they needed to excuse these misgivings by claiming Trump’s ends justified the means, that can no longer apply, for he has continued to lie to them and do the opposite. The sanitization of the administration’s criminal and moral offenses will continue to foster an environment in which vile people feel safe and accepted because of MAGA’s inability to stand for literally anything except their own selfish interests.
I may feel exhausted from 2025 and winter in general, but I refuse to let these actual morons spout bullshit and go unchallenged. I expect cult members, apologists, and doomers to put less effort into fabricating values or morals and instead push us to justify why we care, or why what we stand for matters. At this point, I am more than willing to not only refute them, but also be the odd man out in what feels like a losing effort. Anyone still standing by Trump in 2026 is nothing more than a gleeful crash dummy counting on the airbags to save them, fully aware that they have been removed. 2026 may be the last hoorah for our democracy--lets make sure to leave nothing left unsaid.
